School counselors have the important responsibility of keeping students on the right track in school, and helping them get off on the right foot once they get out of school. It makes things easier when a career option for students comes packaged and presented by professionals, and no one markets their product to students better than military recruiters who want to sell students on a career in uniform. Not every student is cut out for the military, but every student deserves a chance to make the best choice from a range of alternatives. Students are entitled to practical advice and resources on careers.
